Chaired by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the Ministerial Development Council discussed the national framework for school inspection, a vital tool that supports UAE aspirations to further enhance its world-class education system.
During the meeting, held today at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, the council reviewed the framework, which offers a comprehensive performance standard that define the essential aspects of a quality education in both public and private schools.
The national framework applies a high-quality system to measure reliably the quality of school performance and to support school improvements, it also ensures that the UAE educational system is responsive to national needs and aligned to international standards.
The council also discussed the introduction of a federal law on goods subject to non-proliferation controls. The suggested law comes in line with the UAE’s vision to actively leverage control on sensitive goods and engaging in partnerships on both national and international levels.
The council reviewed the report submitted by the Office of Food Security on the strategic food supply in the country for the year 2020. The report highlights the operations of food supply chains in the UAE.
The council reviewed a detailed report that highlights results and achievements of the courts in the UAE.
The council discussed the government procurement system to create a unified framework that regulates procurement processes in federal government entities and supports small and medium enterprises.
