H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, today opened the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in Al Zaab Area, Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mansour inspected the mosque's departments, components and centres which can receive 3,000 worshippers. He also offered Dhuhr (midday) Prayer.
The mosque was built at a cost of AED60 million. The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation oversaw the whole process of implementation of the project.
The mosque features the world's largest Holy Quran Memorisation Centre that can accommodate 600 students as well as an Ifta' centre run by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
Sheikh Mansour expressed his satisfaction at the implementation of this cultural and humanitarian edifice as it represents a qualitative addition to mosques and the Holy Quran Memorisation centres.
Sheikh Mansour was accompanied by Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs.
