Deputy Prime Minister receives Moroccan historians, academicians

H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, today received a group of Moroccan historians and academicians at the Presidential Palace.

During the meeting, the contribution of the Andalusian-Arab civilisation to science, culture and tolerance.

Sheikh Mansour noted that it was important to document this era to highlight the noble Islamic values and the success story of Andalusia which became the top global hub of science and knowledge for all ambitious people across the world when it reached its height.

He also noted that the tolerance and rejection of violence and the achievements of the Andalusian scientists, scholars and figures who left behind a rich cultural, legal, humanitarian scientific legacy should be highlighted by studies and researches.

The two sides also discussed cooperation and exchange of expertise between the UAE's National Archives and the National Archives of Morocco.

A number of officials attended the meeting.
