H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, participated today in a ceremony organised by the Scholarships Office of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs to honour 184 graduates who had received scholarships for the academic year 2015-2016 and completed their studies in various prestigious universities across the country and abroad.
The ceremony being held at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi was attended by Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs; Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education; Ahmed Mohammed Al Humairi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council; Ali bin Salim Al Kaabi, Director of the Office of Minister of Presidential Affairs; Dr. Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research; several under-secretaries of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, academic and educational leaders in the country, officials in the sector of education, and the parents of the graduates.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated the graduates on their success, praising their efforts and diligence in striving to achieve academic excellence, and getting high grades. His Highness also congratulated the parents of the graduates, stressing that the success of each student was an accomplishment for the country, and that the qualified youth who have scientific knowledge and skills are the true assets of the country, who contribute towards supporting the journey of inclusive development, helping to build a knowledge society that can excel and compete in the future.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs is continuing to support the students to pursue higher studies in the most prestigious universities through the Scholarship Office by encouraging those who are outstanding, strive for excellence and are an embodiment of the values of innovation achievement in education, he noted.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour honoured the UAE Space Agency and the Information Communications Technology (ICT) Fund for their co-operation with the office in giving the students scholarships, caring for them and directing them to take up scientific and qualitative disciplines required in the job market, in line with the scientific and technological advancement, and the development witnessed by the UAE.
His Highness later gave the Certificates of Honour to the graduates.
