H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council, has said that the Distinguished Student Scholarship, DSS, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to build a generation of men and women leaders able to meet future challenges.
In a ceremony to honour 139 DSS graduates at the Emirates Palace today, H.H. Sheikh Mansour praised the students for their efforts in gaining degrees from prestigious universities and for joining the labour market in the public and private sectors.
He stressed that the leadership of the country encourages both female and male students to continue their education, study a major compatible with their interests which is needed in the development of all fields.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD), Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi, Minister of Justice, Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of Health Authority - Abu Dhabi and Acting Director-General of Abu Dhabi Education Council, Ahmed Mohammed Al Humairi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director-General of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, a number of senior officials, and family members of the graduates.
