Eighteen new judges and prosecutors, including 8 Emiratis, today took the oath before H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.
During the swearing-in ceremony at the Presidential Palace, Sheikh Mansour stressed that President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan takes great interest in strengthening the rule of law and promoting justice as a pillar of the country's security and economic stability.
He also stressed that members of the judicial authority should commit themselves to the rule of law and the principle that all people are equal before law as well as to the protection of rights of people to promote coexistence in the emirate as a source of richness not an arena for conflicts.
Sheikh Mansour noted that the judicial system of the emirate of Abu Dhabi has achieved an excellent stature thanks to the vision of the wise leaders for transforming the emirate into one of the top five capitals in the world.
The judges and prosecutors expressed appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa for having confidence in them and pledged to enforce the law and constitution to promote justice.
