H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority today opened the 6th SIAL Middle East 2015, the region's fastest-growing professional trade exhibition for food and hospitality industries, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
Sheikh Mansour said the event, which runs until Wednesday December 9, has become an important destination for the food production and processing industry around the world and a platform for growth, thanks to the wise directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Sheikh Mansour toured the exhibition's different stands and attended a signing ceremony for creation of the Abu Dhabi Food Security Alliance between relevant government entities and a number of local companies.
Sheikh Mansour also attended opening of the inaugural edition of Abu Dhabi International Date Palm Exhibition (ADIDPE 2015), the world's only dedicated B2B event for the date palm fruit, which is held as part of SIAL Middle East 2015.
