In line with the initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to honor high achieving students, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), attended this evening a ceremony to honour 167 Grade 12 top performing students at the secondary schools, applied technology institutes and special needs students across U.A.E. for the academic year 2013-2014.
Present were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Co-operation, Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, Sultan Saeed Al Badi, Minister of Justice, Dr. Amal Abdulla Al Qubaisi. Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council, senior officials, educators and relatives of the honoured students.
Sheikh Mansour hailed the great support given by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council to the education in the U.A.E.
Sheikh Mansour met the honoured students during Iftar banquet and congratulated them on their outstanding performance. He urged them to continue their endeavours and to be the best ambassadors to their country when pursuing their studies.
The students expressed their pride and gratitude to the country's leadership and pledged to work hard in order to serve their country in the best possible way.
