H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, has stated that Arab youth are the future, and their abilities and energies will enable their communities to continue the journey of development and advancement, and they have the power to create the positive future they aspire for, to achieve their hopes and aspirations.
"The Arab youth are full of vitality and have the ability to generate innovative ideas, which will enable the Arab region to regain its leading international stature. The UAE, in light of the directives of its wise leadership, desires to invest in the energies of the youth and develop their skills, in order to enable them to become the key tool for advancing Arab communities," H.H. Sheikh Mansour said.
Sheikh Mansour made his statements at the conclusion of the Young Arab Media Leaders Programme in Abu Dhabi, which was organised by the Arab Youth Centre today at the Etihad Towers Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Mansour honoured the graduates of the programme’s first group of participants, who represent 19 Arab countries. He also praised the programme’s strategic partners, who offered useful and diverse content over 13 consecutive days.
"Providing the Arab youth with knowledge and expertise is the best way to invest in their energies, guarantee their effective and positive participation in facing obstacles, and finding solutions to the challenges facing their communities. The Arab Youth Centre was established to achieve these objectives," he added.
"The programme is an initiative to provide the youth with media expertise and the knowledge that will enable them to become prominent media leaders in their communities. I call on the youth who participated in this initiative to effectively employ the expertise that they have gained during the previous days, and be role models for their young colleagues and the cornerstone for the development of media, as well as achieving greater excellence and leadership, to advance Arab communities and counter the destructive ideologies that threaten their security and stability," Sheikh Mansour added.
