Ministerial Council for Development discusses mechanism to develop, enhance government operations

In a meeting held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Ministerial Council for Development has discussed how best to develop government operations at the federal level, with a view to providing better services and adopting initiatives that would serve all citizens and residents.
The meeting was chaired by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, who is also the chairman of the council.
During the meeting, the council was briefed on several decisions and recommendations that could advance the government’s work and enhance services according to the international best practices. It also reviewed a number of proposed projects and initiatives for developing government services and upgrading its competencies.
The council also deliberated the issuance of the bylaws under the Federal Law No. 10 for the year 2015, on food safety in order to enhance food safety and ensure sustainability of local production through the development of federal legislation, guides and systems of food safety, and to achieve strategic food safety indicators or FSIs.
The bylaws include all general provisions and requirements for food registration procedures, circulation and disposal of harmful ones in the country, under the supervision of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
