H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, gave a boost to the noble goals of the Zayed Charity Marathon in Cairo by donating AED1 million for children affected with cancer. Currently, there are 8,000 such patients.
The third stage of the Marathon will be held in as per the directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces.
The Marathon also coincides with the U.A.E.'s 43rd National Day anniversary and the proceeds will go towards the Children’s Cancer Hospital, Egypt, the CCHE 57357.
The Higher Organising Committee of the Marathon, is headed by Lt. Gen. (retired) Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Second Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, and works in coordination with the U.A.E. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt's Ministry of Youth And Sports and Directorate of Children's Cancer Hospital in Egypt.
Sheikh Mansour's donation comes as part of the generous support of the U.A.E.'s Sheikhs for charitable and humanitarian initiatives and the U.A.E.'s support to the needy victims of disasters and crises.
The country also provided all sorts of support to various Arab and global issues and problems, as this is a legacy of the Founder of the Union, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the wise vision and far-sighted directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who takes a keen interest in reinforcing the U.A.E.'s charitable message and its permanent initiatives to benefit the underprivileged segments across the world.
It also comes as part of the continuous support and the directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, who has directed that such charitable donations must continue on the sidelines of sports events to achieve peace and love.
