H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, today opened the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque in Umm Ghafa Area, Al Ain.
Sheikh Mansour and the audience performed Maghreb Prayer (Sunset Prayer) in the mosque. The Mosque was build on an area of 2,290 metres square and can accommodate 1,000 worshipers. The design of the mosque represents a unique and distinguished model in accordance with the UAE heritage. The Court of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince supervised the construction of the mosque.
Sheikh Mansour toured the mosque and was briefed on its components which include two Holy Quran memorisation centres for male and female in addition to a female prayer room.
Sheikh Mansour expressed his happiness about the completion of this cultural complex.
" The mosque represents a qualitative addition to mosques and the Holy Quran memorisation centres in Al Ain as well as other cities in the country to provide correct views and information in compliant with the tolerant Islamic teachings." Sheikh Mansour added.
He also extended thanks to the wise leadership for its attention and care to building mosques due to the vital role played by mosques aimed to spread knowledge and noble values in the society.
A number of officials attended the event.
